[REVIEW] Son&Park Beauty Water

Hello guys! I want to talk to you guys about the popular Korean beauty brand, Son&Park.
They are known for their Beauty Water which is basically a toner. Like a regular toner, it helps to balance the pH of your skin and double cleanses. It also claims that it exfoliates the skin and it's not as drying as most facial toners out there on the market. That's an advantage to those who have dry skin.

At first sight, I thought the bottle was made of frosted glass, but it turns out that it's actually plastic, but good quality plastic. It won't break easily, it's pretty firm and strong. I also like that I can look through the bottle so I know how much I've used it.

This has got to be one of my favourite beauty product bottles ever, because it's so simple and classy at the same time. It doesn't have crazy colours or patterns or designs around the bottle. The only thing I wished they made was a cap that flips, not a twistable cap, but I still love it.

At first, it didn't smell that pleasant (maybe because it's new?), but after using it for 2-3 times, it develops a nicer and refreshing scent, which is a little odd but I dismissed the thought and continued using it.
It is absolutely amazing! I am impressed, very impressed. This toner definitely did something to my face. It made it brighter and cleaner. I don't really know how to explain it but it's just really soothing and hydrating for my skin. I felt moisturised as well, which is kinda weird coming from a facial toner. It also did sort of remove the residue of my makeup that was left on my skin. It can also work as a cleansing water as it removes the makeup residue effectively.
It's very gentle on the skin, but it did sting just a little (sometimes, you might not feel it because it's that little), especially during the first time. My face was quite problematic during that time but I could see improvements with my face when I started using this product. I'm not sure if it's this or my other skin care products though. Also, it contains a pH of 5.
I poured a dime-sized amount onto my Daiso Cotton Pad (they are strangely good for $2).
This is what was on my face the whole day. It's quite mild, but you can definitely see something on the pad. A bit of makeup residue and other things.

It has a cooling sensation and this could work as a mist. A base before makeup and a makeup setter. It's quite a versatile product and it's a multi-tasking product so it's a plus, as well.

Price: 25,000KRW (I bought it for 20,000KRW as it was on sale)
Store Location: Olive Young branches, Sokoglam
Size/Amount of Product: 340ml
Would I repurchase it? Yes, obviously.

Overall Comment:
It's a really good toner. The price for this toner is quite reasonable, it's a multi-tasking product, versatile, doesn't dry out the skin, gentle, cleanses effectively, and exfoliates (which you find very rare in most facial toners). Anyone with any skin types (no matter if you're oily, dry, combination or normal, even for those who have sensitive skin) can definitely use this without it causing break-outs, little blemishes or any side effects in general.

Pros:
-exfoliates
-balances pH of skin
-not drying for skin
-affordable
-multi-tasking product
-suitable for all skin types
-cleanses effectively

Cons:

-twistable cap, difficult to open
-heavy
-has an odd smell when first use

[REVIEW] Skin Food Premium Lettuce & Cucumber Watery Toner

Hi guys! Happy March Month!

Last week, I went and purchased this product from Skin Food and I received a membership card from Skin Food for spending over $40! Yay, me?

Anyway, I purchased this alongside with an exfoliator which I will be posting really soon, so stay tuned.
So basically, my previous post on my Isofurabon Toner from Japan Review wasn't really a positive review as because it caused me break-outs so I decided to stop using the product. I went ahead and bought this instead.

This toner basically balances your pH level for your skin and it double cleanses your face (basically it means washing off any sunscreen or make-up product away). No matter how many times you cleanse your face with a facial cleanser, the toner will do a better job since it is a 'double cleanse' product.

There were 2 facial toners on display in Skin Food. Lettuce and Cucumber and another one, Tomato. As a Science student, tomato is very acidic and it may (somehow) damage your skin or it'll be a bit too strong for your face, so I purchased the Lettuce and Cucumber toner because it's more mild and it's not too strong for my skin.

  • Review:
I love how soft and fresh it left on my skin. It's very nourishing and cooling as well. Once, I had make-up on (since it was Chinese New Year), and after cleansing my face, I applied this toner and I noticed there was a patch of BB Cream left on the cotton pad. Double cleansing? Yes, it works.

I also love the packaging. It may look like a medicinal bottle, but it doesn't bother me. It's easy to hold, the quality of the plastic is quite goof and basically, it seals better than my Isofurabon Toner. Who knows the toner may spill all over the place, which leads you to purchasing another toner.

  • What does it do to your skin/face?
As I said before, it balances the pH level of your skin (cleansers are alkaline while toners are acidic). Your face needs to reach to the neutral level, which is pH 7. Your face (generally) can't be either too alkaline or too acidic. It needs to be balanced. Not only that, it double cleanses your skin (similar to a cleanser) and removes any extra residue like make-up and sunscreen.
  • How to apply it onto your skin/face?
Basically, it's the easiest thing to do in my skin care routine. Just grab a cotton pad (one cotton pad, I repeat) and apply a generous amount of toner. Apply it until it is the size of a 20 cent coin or a penny. As for this product, I need to hit it onto the cotton pad 5 times (you can't squeeze it). Massage your whole entire face with the cotton pad at least 3 times, until you can't feel any signs of wetness on the cotton pad. Then, throw it away. If you have thick make-up on you, please do this twice.

  • Where can you purchase this product?
- Skin Food (any store, basically). You can also purchase this product from G-Market and Koreadepart.

  • How much was it?
-$25.50BND.

Overall Comment:
It made my face clearer, high pigmentations GONE within a week, double cleansed my face, felt fresh and nourished. Basically, I have no problems with this product. Usually, when you use new products, your face tends to grow more pimples and you'll suffer with high-pigmentation for at least a week as because your face skin cells is not used to the new product, but once I used this product, the blemishes just disappeared in a matter of a week. Will definitely purchase this product again. Even my mom noticed my face cleared. Haha.

[REVIEW] Isofurabon Facial Toner

Hello guys! I finally received my new Facial Toner from Japan, thanks to my shopper: Jason Leung. He's been shopping for me in Japan and sent them over by mail, which is pretty cool.
Yes, it does have a really long name, 'Isofurabon', but there's one fact you guys have to know: It's one of the top facial toners in Japan (that's actually affordable). I'm very impressed with the packaging because it's 200ml and it's super easy to apply.
  • Review:

The bottle is a good quality bottle, which I really appreciate. I'm sorry I can't tell you anymore details about this product because well, it's written in Japanese, unfortunately. It's only sold in Japan so that's why every word written on the bottle is in Japanese.

It's very unique, actually. The product is a Soya Milk-flavoured toner. Downside is, it smells a little sweet, it did attract an ant when I received it, but after that, it didn't. I don't know why, but I'm happy about it.

After trying this out (twice), it really made my skin a lot softer than it already was. My face feels a lot bouncier and smoother, which I'm happy about. This toner helps to even out our pH level (to neautral pH7). It makes my skin a lot better, let's just say that.

The best part is that it is very affordable, it worked and it's 200ml (which is a lot cheaper considering it's cheap) and it's one of the top facial toners in Japan!

Downside, the pimples will pop for the first 2 weeks after applying twice a day. High-pigmentation spots will pop but after 2 weeks, it will recover (according to my friend).

Thanks to Melodee Morita for the recommendation!

  • Where can you purchase this product?

-I got this product from shopandbox.com (thanks Jason, again). He bought it for me in Japan and sent it here by mail on shopandbox.com.

  • How much was it?

-$15.00BND

Overall Comment:
My skin felt very clean and fresh, but unfortunately, it caused me A LOT of break-outs. I don't think I will be purchasing this product anymore. It's a new experience for me, at least. I think this product works, but it's not what I would recommend if you have sensitive skin, like I do.

So I've decided to stop using this product because it wasn't really doing much on my face.
