[ANNOUNCEMENT] Instagram shop

Hello guys! I am back with another blog post. It's finally 2015. I'm having mixed feelings about it right now so... yeah.

Anyway, I have great news!

I finally opened a new Instagram shop called 'oddsandeven'. Brunei BSB Based.
 Our logo for 'oddsandeven'.
My best friend and I decided to open a shop on Instagram because teenagers these days are doing it and we thought it would be a great experience and it'll be fun (hopefully).

I sort of came up with the name, but both of us agreed to it so yeah. Both of us, at the end took the credit for the shop name. :)

We officially opened our new shop on 5th December 2014 (on my friend's birthday) at 11.40PM at night.

Basically, we take orders for you. You can browse or search the website itself and inform us on the item that you wish to buy by WhatsApp-ing us through the phone to discuss. Some people want to buy a certain item but they can't get it here and they don't know how to do online shopping so we're providing the service.

Our Batch #1 was a pre-order from ASOS. Clothes, shoes, accessories, cosmetics and a lot more.

For this current Batch #2, we're doing a G-Market pre-order and Instocks.

We basically sell anything: clothes, shoes, accessories, beauty products, skin care products, cosmetics, electronics, USB cables, anything. As long as the item is instock, we are open for pre-order.

All the information (TERMS&CONDITIONS) are written in our Instagram shop so please check it out! :)

We just want to THANK YOU to all our friends and family for supporting us and making it possible. :)

UPDATED:

Batch #3 was the U.S.A Batch (shops from H&M, Forever 21, etc.)

Batch #4 was a speedy pre-order that lasted for only a week (but thankfully there were some customers). We did the ZALORA pre-order.

Batch #5 was the biggest batch yet. We included big brands like Forever 21, H&M, Lush, Sephora (NYX, Hourglass, Urban Decay, Stila, Smashbox, etc), Pandora, Cards Against Humanity (the base and expansion sets), etc.

[EVENT] My 15th Birthday (#I'mTurningOld)

Hello guys! I finally turned 15 (feeling really old now though).
In the morning at exactly 6.44AM, I woke up, just thinking about the things I will do today. I had no school on my birthday because it's the day when our King or Sultan celebrates his 68th Birthday (even if his birthday was a month ago because of Ramadhan). That's why, it's a special holiday for Brunei Darussalam.

As my friend claimed: "Judging how your birthday falls on a holiday specifically for Sultan's birthday this year, you are basically like royalty which is pretty swaggy".

So yeah. I did feel special in a very... different way? I guess.

14th August fell on a Thursday so the next day was also a 'no-school' day, which I'm practically giggling about. So happy no school revolving around my birthday.

So yeah, I woke up early and thought about what activities I would do today.

My best friend was sleeping soundly beside me while I was awake, watching 'The Suite Life of Zack and Cody'  episodes from my new laptop that my dad got for me for my birthday, a MacBook Air. :D I was also checking Facebook. So far, I had 4 greetings from Facebook and 2 greetings through SMS. Since then, I didn't check my messages or notifications because I ran out of money.

My best friend woke up before the alarm even rang and yeah. We basically talked about school life and whatnot. It was nice you know, talking, conversing and actually bonding. Something that not a lot of teenagers get to do nowadays because it's either of their hectic schedules or too addicted to the Internet or TV.

We got up at about 9AM to eat breakfast. My house ran out of food so we just ate 'Mee-goreng' which is an Indonesian Instant Noodle where you just boil the noodle and put the ingredients and DONE. It's definitely NOT healthy and has a lot of MSG so... but what choice do we have?

We took a ton of pictures on my Mac and sort of got carried away... Haha.

After breakfast, my mom and my housemate came back from jogging and hiking and greeted me 'Happy Birthday'. I was technically born at 12.02PM so... It was like an advanced greeting. HAHA.

Both of us went upstairs to get ready because my dad was going to bring us out for lunch at Savy's Brasserie at Mabohai Shopping Centre.

I was wearing my black Coup'E'Tat t-shirt from Singapore, Bugis Street, my black and white chiffon cardigan from Yesstyle.com online, my blue skinny jeans from Thailand, Bangkok, Platinum Mall and my coral pink flats from Yesstyle.com online.

He picked us up at around 11:45AM and drove us there. I ordered 'Carbonara' and shared a Shittake Mushroom with my bestie. She ordered Salmon while my dad ordered salad as usual. It was quite a pricey lunch but hey, it's my birthday. I reckoned that my dad paid about $100 bucks for it but received a 20-30% discount because it was a 'special' day.

So both of us got some drinks from Starbucks. I ordered Ice-Blended Green Tea Latte while she ordered Ice-Blended Double Chocolate Chip.
We shopped for basically the stuff I need like pads, tissue, toilet paper, vegetables, fruits, milo, milk, yogurt, cheese, bath soap and all that. Total was like $142 bucks and BAM, my dad's wallet was empty.

Quite a few number of greetings in Facebook and WhatsApp from friends, teachers and classmates. Not so bad... But last year, there were WAY more. Haha. Maybe because they texted me this year rather than sending me wall posts on Facebook, which is good.

We drank our drinks and head on to town for Wi-Fi. My dad's friend owns a Chinese-cuisine restaurant that serves 'Dim-Sum' and used the Wi-Fi there for free since my dad's friend is the owner. HOW LUCKY WERE WE?

I used my Mac while my bestie used her phone. We just basically spent the entire afternoon on Wi-Fi. My tuition class was supposed to start at 3PM but I just skipped it because it's my birthday. SO DITCHED TUITION CLASS.

My dad sent us home at 4.30PM and unloaded the groceries.

My best friend then talked about our life at school, how our school is because basically our life revolves around school, which seems pretty upsetting because life isn't all about getting good grades, it's about having fun and make use of your life, but since education is super important for us Asians, it seems pretty stressful at most times.

My bestie and I decided to take a walk outside of my house because the weather was perfect and having some fresh air (without any technology involved) sounds pretty exciting (nature, you know?). We walked around in our slippers, talking and laughing.

We jogged, race, danced in the middle of the road, but there were no cars, so it wasn't as embarrassing as I pictured. We saw a lot of birds flying around and it was really pretty. The construction site workers weren't working so there were no workers outside or any noise at all. It was just so peaceful and nice to be outside.

We tried brisk walking, jogging, arm movements and a lot of them. We even tried doing HyunA's 'RED" dance in the middle of the road. Thank goodness no one were looking at us, just a female maid gardening. It was super fun.

After that, we prepared for dinner. My mom picked us up at around 6.15PM and drove to the town to a Japanese restaurant. We took off our shoes and sat on the wooden floor. Surprisingly, my housemate was there as well. She gave me a Hello Kitty wrapping thingy with something inside. I assumed it was a book but my housemate said it was a box.

We ordered a ton of food like beef, raw salmon, tofu steak, seaweed salad, a lot of sushi, salon fish head, fried rice, octopus, et. Total was $100 bucks as well. I coincidentally met my friend near the toilet area and she greeted me 'Happy Birthday', which surprised me but thanked her nicely.
With the ladies. From left to right: Jasmine (bestie), me, Lih Ching (housemate), my mom.
 Took selfies in the washroom.
Wearing my 'Beh Tahan' shirt, green neon army-printed leggings all from Miri, Malaysia and my coral pink flats from Yesstyle.com online.

After dinner, we went to Bakerlyn Bakery to get some cakes for my bestie and I. I got my favourite 'Snow-White' cake which is a creamy Vanilla cake. I love it a lot! My bestie got a chocolate mousse cake with hazelnut. It tasted awesome too. My friend got me a Vanilla Custard bun which I declined the offer but she insisted anyway.
We went home and ate the cake while talking about stuff before heading to bed because it was getting late. My bestie started playing with my piano because NOSTALGIA while I played Kim Kardashian Hollywood.

It was quite a memorable birthday. It has been great because I've finally been out the whole day with my loved ones and not stuck at home doing absolutely nothing because there's no Wi-Fi and Astro.

This year was better than 2 years ago and last year. Excited for next year? Nah... Don't wanna be old too fast.

[EXPERIENCE] Root Canal Surgery

Hey guys! Today I'll be talking about my experience for my Root Canal Surgery.

It was really painful, before the surgery. The bacteria was literally eating up my tooth and it hurts like hell, I couldn't even sleep for the whole night! I had to drink water every once in a while (it's a good thing, but the bad thing is that it hurts), so I immediately went to the dentist and finally fixed my tooth.

ROOT CANAL SURGERY
Okay, so what is root canal surgery?

Basically, the bacteria eats up a tooth and it forms a big hole.

Root canal surgery means adding a particular substance in the hole and filling the hole.

It sounds painful, but it actually isn't. Of course, it visually looks painful, but in real life, it doesn't hurt at all.
What do they do?

First, they check your teeth for any problems.

Then, the dentist used a tranquilizer that contains anaesthetic (a type of substance that makes a part of your body numb) to inject my left gum (it does not hurt, it just feels like an ant biting you). Several seconds later, your gum feels very numb. Basically, every part of your mouth feels numb, but your body doesn't, just the mouth.

Then, I rinsed my mouth with water a few times.
Then, the dentist inserted a suction in my mouth.

The dentist then used all these tools that I am not sure of (there were some metal objects as well, which almost made me feel paranoid than I already am).
You won't even feel a slight pain, trust me. You just lie down there, heck yeah you can even sleep there, with your mouth opened so the dentist can do his job.

The 'fake' tooth tastes like cement (weird right?), but it isn't poisonous, obviously. I can tolerate the hideous taste, but after a few days, the taste was completely gone and disappeared.

For the last time, it does not even hurt a tiny bit! What you have to worry though is the MONEY! My parents paid $800 freaking dollars for that.

Other than that, you'll be fine.
