Hello! I've finally changed my whole topic of my blog and created a Beauty Blog. :) No more about boring topics of my life. :D
A lot of people don't really know the right techniques of removing make-up residue on their faces. Even if some successfully removed the make-up, some probably don't know the proper way and a more safer way to remove make-up. They tend to either rush/remove it quick or rubbing the face roughly and that's definitely NOT advisable.
First, purchase a very good branded make-up remover. Make sure you're quite familiar with the brand. My make-up remover is actually from France, Paris so it seems pretty reliable as because it's originated from Europe. :) Mine has a creamy texture, but most make-up removers are in liquid form, but that's okay too.
Now we want to start off with the face (cheeks, chin, forehead, side of forehead). Place your cotton on your cheeks and gently move upwards. You don't have to close your eyes (unless your eyes came in contact with your make-up remover).
Try to massage your cheeks gently. Make it seem like you're in a salon or spa. This needs about 20-25 seconds to completely remove the make-up.
After that, turn your cotton pad upside down. You'll notice that there are still enough spaces for your other side of the cheek so pump the same amount and gently place it on your other cheek and move upwards.
Turn the cotton pad upside down.
Repeat the same steps on the other side of your cheek.
After removing the residue off your cheeks, start removing the make-up on your forehead. I like to start from my left (using my right hand) and swiftly bring it to my right and repeat the same steps all over again until the make-up on your forehead is completely removed. You'll need about 30-35 seconds.Next, turn the pad, start removing the make-up on your chin and repeat the same steps all over again. Remember to massage it and gently move it to the sides of your face. You don't have to take more than 20 seconds to remove this.
Next is a little more crucial, the centre part of your face. Start off with your cupids bow. Pump a small amount of make-up remover and gently swift your way to the side. Make sure you stretch your cupids bow. Just a few seconds will do.
Next, repeat the same steps and put the cotton on the top of your nose bridge. Close your eyes while you do this because it might come in contact with the sides of your eyes. Bring the cotton down gently and repeat the steps again. Just 10 seconds will do.
Next, the most difficult part. You might need two cottons to completely remove your eye make-up (depends on how heavy your eye make-up is. If it consists of eyeliner, mascara, primer, eyeshadow, etc. you'll need 2 cotton pads). Start off with your right eye. Pump a correct amount of make-up remover onto your cotton pad and place it very gently onto your closed-right eye. Start rubbing your eyes in circles gently as you do it. Keep rubbing it for 30 seconds and quickly rinse your right eye with water 5 times.
Do the same for your other eye and repeat the steps.
Next step is to repeat it again because some eyeliner or mascara hasn't been removed yet. Repeat and gently massage.
WARNING: Do not open your eyes until you rinse it with water after 5 times. It will burn your eyes. Do not open your eyes while removing the make up on your eye. It'll sting too.
After everything, cleanse your face with your normal facial cleanser and rinse your face gently with water 20 times before padding your face with your face towel and now, you're done!
It might seem like a very difficult task to successfully achieve, but trust me, it's easy if you follow the steps accordingly.
Thank you and good bye!
