[REVIEW] THE FACE SHOP Natural Sun Aqua Sun Gel

Hey guys! I am back after 5 days. My class just started 5 days ago and I didn't have enough time to blog so since it's the weekends, I finally squeezed some time to blog.

This has been my go-to/daily sunscreen for my face. I actually thought I purchased Mecca Cosmetica's Sun Series To Save For Face SPF 30 Pa +++ Sunscreen, but I realised that I got the To Save For Hands instead, so luckily, this product was given to me right after my Australian trip as a gift. :) Saved my life. I cannot live without sunscreen for my face. I really can't.

THE FACE SHOP released so many different versions and varieties of their sunscreens or sunblocks around the place but this was given to me instead (which I do not mind, because it did cost quite a lot).

Here's how the box looks like, just so you know. It only has SPF 40 Pa +++ and it's 50ml.

What attracted me the most about this product were the symbols written at the back of the product:

It says: Sun and UV Protection, Waterproof and Great for Winter.

I think this sunscreen is perfect for me, especially during sunny and rainy days.

• Review:

-Like a normal sunscreen. The good thing about this sunscreen is that it applies on very well. It also does not leave a white cast and it's not oily, nor does it have a matte-finish, instead, it has a slight shimmer/shine after applying it. The texture felt like gel, it's not creamy or liquid-y, which is a relief because those type of textures (especially creamy textures) do leave white casts here and there even after blending properly.

It is most definitely waterproof (yes, I tested it with water) and it works. Well as for winter, I have no idea because I live in a tropical country so... 

The con is that the SPF is not high or strong enough, unlike the SPF 50 one. I would absolutely love this product if it is SPF 50. Also, the smell is too strong that I can taste it after a while (which is really disturbing). I hate the smell and also the taste (though you're not supposed to taste it).

It's great for travelling, it's light and portable and it can last me about 6-8 months (using it daily, every morning).

• How to apply it onto the skin/face?

-Like you usually would do. Just apply a generous amount of sunscreen all over your face, including your neck (unless you have a body sunscreen). Don't put a tiny amount because it won't protect your skin/face that much from the sun so please put a good amount of sunscreen.

• Where can you purchase this product?

-THE FACE SHOP branches (The Mall, Gadong, Times Square, Mabohai Shopping Complex, Seria).

• -How much does it cost?

-NA. It was a gift. I think it's around the range of $25-$40.

Overall Comment:

I do love this product. It does what it says, sun protection and waterproof. Finishing look is great and it does not leave a white cast. It only does smell bad and the SPF isn't high or strong for me. It's an overall good product for THE FACE SHOP.
