[REVIEW] Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

Hey guys! I am back with yet another blogpost. I think this is my official intro for every blogpost. Haha.
Anyway, I've heard many good reviews about this product and I was super excited to pick this up when I was in Australia. This product is also similar to Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer and Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: all of them are affordable and work really well.
It has this doe-foot applicator (like lip glosses). I've always liked doe-foot applicators so it's a bonus. Rimmel released their 'Match Perfection' concealer but it has the good old-fashioned squeeze tube, which doesn't impress me.

I got the shade in number Soft Beige. I intended to get their Ivory shade, but it was sold out, as well as the Classic Beige shade (unfortunately). This is what you get for having fair skin, being in a country where there are so many people with fair skin and Rimmel was having a sale so... I got the darkest shade (which surprisingly not dark on my skin at all).

  • Review:
I absolutely adore this product. This is not my holy grail (as because I use BB Creams and I do not have dark circles/eye bags), but this is great if I have an event to attend to or something like that. It really covers up my pimples (not very noticeable at the very least) and it does cover dark circles/eye bags.
It brightens my under eyes as well. The products blends in very well and the coverage is quite high. I have to say, I'm very impressed with this product. The more surprising thing is that this isn't really my shade, but it blends in with my skin colour really well. This isn't my shade, trust me. I've applied this on my friend who is at least 3 to 4 shades darker than me and it suits her skin very well. Maybe this product is versatile. Haha.
The result after 1 layer. It also covers my pimples and red heads as well. I applied this concealer alone (foundation is 100% absent). I'm very pleased with the product. VERY. It also claims that the product is anti-fatigue so you won't look tired.

  • How to apply this onto the under eyes?
This is the right way to apply concealer. You can also wipe the applicator across the under eyes, but when you blend it in, make sure to drag it down a little bit, at least around the cheek bone area.

The method I use is to dab the product onto my under eyes, and also below the under eyes in this weird triangle shape (not Illuminati, please). I just use a sponge and blend it all in. You can also use a blender or a concealer brush or even with your fingers (I suggest using your ring finger to blend it since your ring finger has heat so it's easier to blend).

  • Where can you purchase this product?
-Priceline Pharmacy (Australia), Chemist Warehouse (Australia), Coles Supermarket (Australia), Superdrug (UK), etc. It is sold almost in every drugstores in the U.S, U.K and Australia.

  • How much was it?
-$7.48AU (It was on sale, original price is$14.99)

Overall Comment:
This is the best concealer I own (yeah, it just beat my favourite concealer, The Face Shop Stick Concealer). It's so easy to blend, has great coverage for both under eyes and pimples/acnes and it's super affordable.

Rating: 5/5
