[REVIEW] ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip (Trap)

Hey guys! I'm back again with another blogpost! My test is coming in 2 weeks so I won't be updating until the mid of April so please be patient and I apologise in advance. On a side note, I also won't be updating my blog as much this year because I'll be taking my GCE O'Levels this year. but I'll do everything I can to try to blog more.
Liquid lipsticks have already been a trend this season or year. This year, ColourPop rose to fame because of their best-selling Ultra Matte Lippies as well as their Super Shock Shadows. It's known for its great variety of beautiful colours/shades and also, they're very affordable.
ColourPop reminds me of Jeffree Star Liquid Velour Lipsticks, but ColourPop makes more affordable and everyday wearable-colour lippies compared to Jeffree Star's. They're very similar.
It comes with a doe-foot applicator that's very convenient and easy to apply on the lips. The shade or colour I bought is in 'Trap' has a dusty greyish-beige colour (ColourPop claims it's 'Greige', hilarious isn't it?). I thought the colour was very unique and interesting so I decided to purchase this one colour only, even though I had other colours I wanted in mind.
As expected, I quite like this lipstick. When you apply it onto your lips, it's very creamy, but it dries matte. The formula is very matte so you'll expect it to be a bit drying for your lips. The pigmentation is absolutely stunning and gorgeous. I like how it's quite dark but subtle and not too overwhelming and overdone.
The colour pay-off, awesome! The colour is very unique, as I expected. I added a bit of concealer around my lips so it's more defined and I did have a bit of redness around that area.

As you can see from the picture, it did sort of emphasise the dry flakes on my lips, which is quite unappealing, so please do apply lip balm, lip moisturiser or chapstick before applying this liquid lipstick.
Application-wise, it's very easy and it glides on very well and easily. You do not need a second layer with this lipstick because it's so pigmented.

It also does not transfer after letting it set for 10 minutes, which is good. It's also quite long-lasting. One thing is that if you're eating, the lipstick on the inner part of your lips will come off so it still needs to be re-applied throughout the day. If you're eating light snacks or food, it's okay. Other than that, you're good to go.
However, it's difficult to remove this lipstick as it practically sticks like a superglue to your lips. It's like a lip tint or stain, but it's not. Your lips will be very red and flaky after removing it. You'll have to rub your lips in order to remove it so it'll damage the lips so I recommend not to use this lipstick on a daily basis because your lips will not be luscious anymore.

Overall Comment:
I like this lipstick, but I would love to try other colours from this collection as well as their Ultra Satin Lipsticks too. It's very interesting and trendy so I would definitely buy it again, but not this colour/shade. It's quite good and plus, it's affordable too.
