[SWATCHES/REVIEW] ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips + Lippie Stix (6 shades!!)

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another blogpost of mine! And yes, another ColourPop blogpost. :) Don't judge.
You guys probably know I love myself some ColourPop lippies and I technically buy their lipsticks 5 times a year (I'm obsessed). No one can blame me because their lipsticks are excellent.

I've already reviewed the ColourPop Ultra Satin Lipsticks on my last ColourPop review: click here.

Ultra Satin Lipsticks

1. Calypso

It is a beautiful mid-tone pink that is perfect for the fall and winter seasons. This is by far my favourite shade ColourPop has ever released and I might actually repurchase this again if I ever finish this lipstick. Unfortunately, this stained my lips and left a red-ish wine colour on my lips when I was trying to remove it with a makeup remover.

2. Screenshot

This lipstick is a beautiful nude deepened-peach shade that is great for the spring and summer seasons. It is perfect for everyday wear and it's not too dark or light. It compliments a lot of skin tones, especially those who are pale and fair.

Rating:

Pros:
-not drying
-full coverage/very pigmented
-quite long-lasting
-comfortable
-not sticky
-affordable
-lightweight
-does not transfer

Cons:
-expensive shipping fees (international)

Overall Comment:
This is by far my third favourite formula for liquid lipsticks. It's easy easy to apply, does not transfer, dries down beautifully, not drying, not sticky, full coverage and quite long-lasting. Best part about it is that it's affordable.

Lippie Stix

1. Cami
This is my favourite lippie stix ColourPop has ever released and it's a stunning matte cool-toned mauve pink shade that suits a lot of skin tones. It's suitable for all seasons and a great pop of colour for an everyday look. It appears to be darker in real life compared to the photos here.

Rating:

2. Chateau
This shade is a very bold and dark shade, matte blackened red, berry plum shade. It's great for the fall and winter seasons. If you feel like the most confident person ever and you just want to kill everyone with your looks, wear this. This actually stained my lips and left an awkward red-ish wine colour stain on my lips after trying to remove it with makeup remover (similar to Ultra Satin Lips in Calypso). You can visibly see that the edges of my lips have a red-ish wine colour, which is quite strange, but still, a very stunning colour.

Rating:

3. Poppin

It is a very bright and vibrant matte raspberry shade that is sure to catch everyone's attention. It's perfect for the spring and summer time and definitely makes you look more younger and youthful. This was a very bold choice for me as I always go for neutral to dark lipsticks but, I just wanted to get out of my comfort zone this year. Nevertheless, really gorgeous and vibrant colour.

Rating:

Pros:
-comfortable
-does not transfer
-not drying
-long-lasting
-creamy
-easy and smooth application
-glides on beautifully
-full coverage

Cons:
-expensive shipping fees (international)
-limited amount of product

Overall Comment:
Absolutely love this formula. It's the creamiest lipstick from ColourPop, very comfortable on the lips, easy to apply and full coverage.

Lippie Stix (Creme)

1. Sure Thing
It is a gorgeous Creme warm beige with a hint of baby pink that's very suitable for an everyday look. It's great for all seasons and compliments the skin very well. The new formula for this lipstick is absolutely amazing and it's like wearing a lip balm. Unfortunately right after I finished eating my meal, it was completely gone. Not even a hint of colour on my lips. It was quite disappointing, but very expected nevertheless, because hey, it's not a liquid lipstick. I just thought this was a little too nude for ColourPop's 2017 Valentine's Day Collection (because it should mostly consist of reds, pinks and oranges but hey, who am I to judge?).

Pros:
-comfortable
-very moisturising (feels like lip balm on the lips)
-gorgeous colour
-affordable
-lightweight
-not drying
-easy and smooth application
-glides on beautifully

Cons:
-transfers
-not long-lasting
-limited amount of product

Overall Comment:
I love this lipstick a lot, because it's the perfect nude lipstick that is moisturising and very comfortable on the lips. However, it doesn't last long and transfers.

[REVIEW] Jouer Cosmetics Lip Creme in Lychee

Hey guys! I'm back with an absolutely new product that I just purchased on November of last year and received around January 2017.
Jouer Cosmetics have been around since 2004 and are known for their lip cremes, powder highlighters and lip toppers.
Product Claim: They are said to be "weightless, long-wear liquid lipstick that offers full coverage colour with a soft-touch finish that glides on smoothly and lasts all day".

Let's see if they work as they claimed to be!
It is a stunning matte cool dusty rose shade that's perfect for the spring and summertime. Also, great for everyday-wear.
I am very impressed with how soft and creamy this liquid lipstick is. It applies very smoothly and glides on so well on the lips. It has a velvet to matte finish, but more on the velvet side. It's not drying at all and it's very comfortable on the lips.

It claims to be lightweight, and well, it is, but it isn't 100% lightweight. You can sort of still feel the lipstick sitting on top of the lips, but it's totally normal. It doesn't crease or transfer as well, which is a plus because most liquid lipsticks have the tendency to do that.
It has really high coverage, good pigmentation and very consistent. I also noticed how long-lasting this lipstick was when I came home after a long day at 8pm. It wore so beautifully, even after 10 hours and it didn't look like my lips were cracking or some sort.

The doe-foot applicator is small so that it could cover all the areas of the lips, including the corners of the mouth and other nooks and crannies that are needed to be filled. In a way, having a small doe-foot applicator is a con, because it doesn't fill in the lips as quickly as I would want.
It has a slight sweet vanilla scent to it that is really pleasant. The smell reminds me of Kylie's Matte Liquid Lipsticks, but less stronger.

I love how this lipstick does not move around or go out of the lip line and it also does not smudge at all, even after eating greasy foods. I am completely in love with everything about this lipstick. From the innovative and unique rectangular packaging to the formula to the colour of the lipstick and the longevity.

Price: USD18.00 (I bought it for USD15.30 using 15% discount codes)
Size/Amount of Product: 6ml/0.21 fl.oz
Would I repurchase this? Yes, and no. I would purchase the same lipstick, but in a different shade. I want to try out different shades of the same lipstick.

Pros:
-creamy, soft
-smooth application and glides on smoothly
-full coverage, very pigmented
-variety of different shades
-long-lasting
-great colour pay-off
-doesn't smudge, transfer, crease
-not drying, patchy

Cons:
-shipping is expensive
-small doe-foot applicator (fills in lips more slowly)

Overall Comment:
I absolutely love this liquid lipstick. The formula, pigmentation and coverage, longevity and colour pay-off of this lipstick is just outstanding and excellent. I will purchase this lipstick, but in a different shade and try out more. It's just as good as the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks.

[REVIEW] BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo 18 Eyeshadow + Lipstick Palette

Hi everyone! I am back with another review and this time, it's an eyeshadow and lipstick palette! Woot woot!

BH Cosmetics makes amazing products that are high quality but very affordable. They provide international shipping and recently, their products are available on UltaBeauty.

Shaaanxo a.k.a Shannon, one of the most popular beauty gurus from New Zealand collaborated with BH Cosmetics which launched around April 2016.
This palette comes with 9 eyeshadow shades on one side of the palette and the other side has 9 lipstick shades. I thought the packaging was very innovative, interesting and travel-friendly. It's in a nice cardboard type of packaging, which I always liked.

Here is how the 9 color eyeshadow palette looks like:

Here is how the 9 color lipstick palette looks like:

So let's get on with the review!

EYESHADOW

I was so thrilled with the results of this eyeshadow palette. I never really trust drugstore eyeshadows as they always turn out to be too sheer or not pigmented, too many fall-outs and blends unevenly. This palette, however broke boundaries for drugstore eyeshadow palettes because this is just as good as other high-end eyeshadow palettes I've used like the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette and Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette, which is so mind-blowing.
I used shade #1, #2, #3, #6 and #8

The first thing I noticed was that the size of the pans were really big (which is a bang for your buck) for both the eyeshadow and lipstick palette.

It was so pigmented, except for the first shade of the palette, which I was quite disappointed with, but the rest were so pigmented. The blend-ability power is so outstanding and all the colours blend so well with each other. I like how Shannon was able to pick the colours out so nicely, and she made it all work together, unlike some other eyeshadow palettes that are questionable. The colours are able to compliment with each other, which you can't really find a lot of eyeshadow palettes like this one.

The lasting power is really excellent, it lasted the whole entire day, and it did not budge, move around or fade away AT ALL. The eyeshadows were so creamy, soft, easy to blend, did not have any fall-outs, not drying and feels comfortable/lightweight on my lids.
The first shade is a matte creamy warm light peach sandy shade, which is a great brow bone highlight, if you're not into the shimmery or glowy brow bone highlight.

The second shade is a shimmery light champagne shade, which is perfect for the inner tear duct or inner corners of the eyes as well as a shimmery brow bone highlight and for the center of the eyelid.

The third shade is a shimmery deep rose gold champange shade, which is perfect for the center of the lids. This is definitely my favourite shade in this palette because it's so gorgeous and absolutely pigmented with just one swipe.

The fourth shade is a matte warm tangerine neutral orange shade, which is a very unique eyeshadow colour (as I've never seen this kind of colour in an eyeshadow palette). It'll look beautiful on the crease and it's a perfect for that transition shade.

The fifth shade is a shimmery neutral coppery shade, which is probably the most pigmented shade in the palette. It's a really beautiful dark colour, which can be applied all over the lid for a smoky eye look.

The sixth shade is a matte warm brick reddish-brown shade, which is perfect for the outer corners of the eyes or even on the center of the lid. This is my second favourite eyeshadow colour in this palette.

The seventh shade is a shimmery cool-toned silvery purple taupe shade, which is perfect for that smoky eye look as well. This is my third favourite shade in this palette.

The eight shade is the coolest shade out of all. It's a shimmery duo-chrome with a warm base and has green and blue reflects, which is unbelievably mouth-watering. Perfect for that smoky eye look as well.

The last shade is a matte cool-toned deep grey-ish black with a bit of silver shimmer shade. It's a great outer corner shade for that smoky eye look.

LIPSTICK

The lipsticks however, were just okay for me. They were creamy and moisturising, which is a pro and I really liked that about these lipsticks. Some lipsticks were quite sheer, some were quite pigmented. The shades that Shannon chose were very pretty and has different types of lipstick shades like oranges to burgundy to plums to nudes.
Unfortunately, as expected, they were not as long-lasting as I had hoped. They only faded after I ate my meals during the day. Most cream lipsticks tend to lose their lasting power so it's not too bad.

I used shade #1

It's not drying at all and it feels comfortable on my lips. I also really like the formula of these lipsticks, because they don't feel sticky or tacky.

The first shade is a muted peachy nude that is great for everyday wear. It's perfect for the spring and summer time.

The second shade is a bright coral shade. It's also great for the spring and summer time.

The third shade is a vert bright reddish-orange shade, which is a classic colour. This is one of my favourite lipstick shade in this palette.

The fourth shade is a deep nude shade, also perfect for everyday wear and can match with any eye-look (day or night, neutral or bright).

The fifth shade is a lilac mauve purple shade which is quite muted but bright at the same time. Perfect for fall and winter.

The sixth shade is the brightest colour of all in this palette and it's a bright bubblegum pink, which I also like to refer it to as a 'Barbie Pink'. It's a really fun colour and you'll definitely stand out in the crowd if you were to wear that.

The seventh shade is a very light nude, which is perfect for everyday wear as well. Unfortunately, this shade matched my lips' natural colour so it does not look any different with or without this lipstick colour.

The eighth shade is a deep burgundy wine colour, which is really dark and gorgeous. It's perfect for fall and winter. It'll look amazing, especially if you're going for that vampy, mysterious and dark look. One of my favourite lipstick shade in this palette.

The last and final shade is a deep plum colour, which is, again perfect for fall and winter. It's a perfect vampy shade lipstick, if you're not into the whole burgundy, wine shade.
Overall, I think these lipsticks were very beautifully made and created by Shannon. They all fit in the colour palette very well and they all have different types of shades and colours to choose from. They're all really pretty, suitable for all skin tones and they're travel-friendly.
The only downside to this is that you'll need a lip brush (but you can also use your hands, but it'll be difficult and tough to create the cupid's bow).
One pro that I really want to stress about is that it's really easy to mix and match the lipsticks. You can even create a different colour by mixing two colours together or even three.

Price: USD$14.50 (I bought it for USD$10, it was on sale)
Store Location: BH Cosmetics, UltaBeauty
Size/Amount of Product: 40g/1.42oz (roughly)
Would I repurchase? Yes, it's a really fantastic product and it's so affordable as well.

EYESHADOW

Pros:
-very pigmented
-amazing colour pay-off
-long-lasting
-not drying
-no fall outs/not powdery
-creamy
-easy to blend
-does not smudge/move around
-affordable

Cons:

LIPSTICK

Pros:
-creamy
-gorgeous colours
-not drying
-comfortable on lips
-can mix colours

Cons:
-not long-lasting

Overall Comment:
I really like this palette a lot. There aren't many flaws, which is an upside and I really did enjoy using this palette. Frankly, I loved this palette because it's made of cardboard and I can flip the cover in both sides (which is seriously fun, I know, I'm really odd and peculiar). They're all pigmented (well, most of them), easy to work with, comfortable on the eyes and lips and the packaging is really innovative and creative.
