[REVIEW] Nature Republic Aqua Super Aqua Max Moisture Watery Cream

Hi everyone! I'm back with another skin care review and this time, it's a Nature Republic moisturizer!

Nature Republic is known for their popular Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel and a couple of their snail skin care line.
This product has been out in the market for quite a while, but I picked this up recently because I love trying out different skin care products to see which skin care product suits my skin the best.

Description:
It is a high-performance hydrating cream which infuses extract moisture and refreshment back to skin with an energizing complex of deep sea minerals from maritime plants while extract of chlorella, seaweed, plankton, and water-soluble collagen and hyaluronic acid helps to strengthen skin's ability to defend itself against external aggressors and dehydration.

Price range: $12USD-$17USD (depending on which website you're buying it from)
Size: 80ml

Review

I actually enjoyed using this product a lot, surprisingly. I have not heard a lot of reviews of Nature Republic products as there are so many K-Beauty brands out there, overshadowing Nature Republic and some other older K-Beauty brands.
This product felt quite light on my skin, but my skin still felt moisturized and soft after using this product a couple times. It's not a heavy duty, rich moisturizer so if you have dry skin, you might feel as if this moisturizer might be too light for you, but this product is more targeted towards normal to oily skin.

Moreover, I love the consistency as it has a gel to creamy texture. It absorbs well into the skin, leaving the skin with a 'glow-from-within' kinda of finish. It also has a slight floral scent, but it's quite subtle and I don't think it will irritate your skin (unless you are sensitive to scents in your products). The product says 'watery', but it is not at all watery, which is very odd.
It didn't break me out, so that's definitely a good sign, because my skin is sensitive to some particular ingredients from certain skin care products. Another pro is that this moisturizer is affordable and this retails for less than BND$15 (US$12)!

In addition, my skin felt super soft and supple after using this product as well! However, if you have dry skin, this product might be too light for you. Layer this product if you do have dry to combination skin. Just a heads up. Those who have normal to oily skin will have no problem using this product. Also, if you are allergic to scents, your skin might get irritated after using this because it does have a slight scent to it. The scent is not strong at all, but you can definitely tell that there's a light scent.
(after applying the cream)

Also, it comes with a tub, so it's not the most convenient type of packaging, because it involves dipping your finger in the product to get the product. Plus, it's heavy, so this product is not really travel-friendly and light.

Overall, this product performed pretty well, especially for its price point. Nature Republic do have great moisturizers and gel products so I understand why this product performed well in the first place.

Overall

However, it isn't a 'life-changing' product and it's definitely not the best moisturizer in the K-Beauty world. There are definitely more products you can find that perform much better and leaves your skin super moisturized and supple compared to this product. I would say though that this product did its job and did not disappoint. But if you're looking into a more affordable option and you just want a good and safe moisturizer, this could be a good choice.

[1] Summarized Skin Care Reviews (The Ordinary, Cosrx, Neogen)

Hi guys! I'm back again. I apologize greatly for being in a hiatus because of school and personal issues.

This is a new series that I'm going to be doing for a long time (hopefully) and it's technically me reviewing new skin care products in only 60 words and under (per product). It'll be a summarized version of a full review, so technically: "Summarized Skin Care Reviews".

1. The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2%
What is it?
-A skin treatment serum that does mild exfoliation for the skin and reduces inflammation and sensitivity.

This product is amazing, because it gives instant results and is very effective. It automatically removes dead skin cells and reduces redness on the skin. My skin instantly feels smoother, brighter and less redder after using this product a few times. It reduces irritation as well. Best part about it is that it's affordable.

2. COSRX Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap)
What is it?
-A moisturizer that helps to calm and treat sensitive, irritated and freshly exfoliated skin and quenches dry skin with zero greasy residue.

This moisturizer is excellent for all skin types as it does not leave any oily residue on the skin, moisturizes and hydrates the skin gently without causing any breakouts. It smells really fresh and the moisturizer is light but it moisturizes the skin instantly without feeling heavy on the skin. It also comes with a pump.

3. Neogen Real Fresh Foam Green Tea Cleanser
What is it?
-A unique foam cleanser that helps brighten and hydrate the skin, removing impurities such as sweat and dirt from the skin and is perfect for all skin types including acne-prone and oily skin.

My skin felt really smooth and soft after using this for the first time and it really brightens and hydrates the skin as it said on the description. It's also very fresh and gentle on the skin and it properly cleanses the skin without my face feeling tight and dry. It also comes with a pump which is a bonus.

[REVIEW] Tony Moly Wonder Honey Moisture Cream

Hey guys! It's been a while since I last blogged. Hope you guys had a wonderful day/night.
Initially, I wanted to pick up the Tony Moly Wonder Water Moisture Cream because Monsta X's I.M (Changkyun) uses it too (it was featured in their Monsta X- Deokspatch Season 2 Episode 6: Don't Take Care Of My Refrigerator episode), but the saleslady informed me that the said item is not instock.
Maybe it's because of I.M (Changkyun), the shelves of Wonder Water Moisture Cream are empty. Haha.

Anyways, the saleslady told me that the Wonder Honey Moisture Cream is also one of their best-selling products so I decided to try it out. I mean, both Wonder Water and Wonder Honey are in the same range, right?
I was surprised by the huge tub for its affordable price and also, the quality is pretty good (according to the saleslady). I picked it up anyways because I needed a moisturiser that isn't too rich because I have an oily to normal skin type. If you have dry skin, definitely go for a moisturiser that is rich, because it has added extra moisture.
Not surprisingly, it moisturiser does look like honey. I know honey has a lot of benefits not only for our health, but our skin as well. Honey helps to moisturise and hydrate the skin, great for acne treatment and prevention as well as slowing down aging. It is naturally antibacterial, so I'm glad they used honey as a facial moisturiser, as you know, it has a lot of benefits.
I find this quite subtle. Nothing super amazing happened. It did give my face extra moisture and hydration and definitely prevented my skin from getting dry or form dry patches around my skin. When I came back from Seoul in December, my whole face was so dry, I could see a lot of dry patches forming around my chins and nose area, it was a nightmare, but after using this for about a week, I noticed that there were no dry patches forming so I have to thank Tony Moly for saving my skin (lol).

It penetrates into my skin quite well, doesn't leave an oily residue on my skin, but definitely feels moisturised and hydrated. It's quite comforting to know my skin is receiving lots of moisture from this product as I was suffering from dry patches for the last few weeks. It also doesn't leave any sticky-feeling on the skin, which most moisturisers do.

It smells very sweet and the texture is a little bit sticky, but not creamy. It's definitely not slippery.
A little goes a long way because just with little product, it can spread around the whole face, which means that this product will last for a very long time. My skin doesn't feel strange or weird, didn't leave any break-outs or form any blemishes so there's no side effects (depending on your skin though).

This is more suitable for those who have oily to normal skin because this product isn't very rich. If you want a more richer and has added extra moisture, try out Lush's Imperialis, Celestial and Vanishing Cream.

Price: 15,500KRW (I bought it for 9,900KRW because it was on sale)
Store Location: Tony Moly branches
Size/Amount of Product: 320ml
Would I repurchase it? I'm not sure. For the time being, I'm still thinking about whether or not I should repurchase this after I have finished it. It's a good moisturiser, but I don't know if I'm 100% sure it's the right one for me. Maybe because it's too subtle?

Overall Comment:
I am quite okay with this product. It's not all that amazing, but it works quite well, but not to the point where it changes the skin or improves the skin besides moisturising it. It is subtle, very subtle. Simple. clean and affordable. Not too rich, but just right for me. This is a great product for those who have oily to combination skin for some moisture and hydration.

Pros:
-moisturising
-not too rich
-no oily residue/finish
-nice scent
-penetrates/absorbs well into the skin
-suitable for all skin types
-affordable
-refreshing
-feels light on the skin
-not sticky

Cons:
-not rich enough for people with dry skin
-heavy
-not travel-friendly
-not portable
-twistable cap
-might be difficult to scoop out product when low on product

[REVIEW] Soap&Glory Butter Yourself Body Cream

Hello guys! Back with the 2nd blogpost of the day. Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend.
I've always wanted to try a Soap&Glory product so I got one of their famous body butters/creams. I initially wanted to pick the The Righteous Body Butter, but I got this instead because of the scent. I literally smelt all of the body butters before making my ridiculous judgement. *laughs* I judge my scent and smell. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this but I'm a huge fan of tropical scent like fruits, and flowers, so I heard this product contains 5 fruits, my eyes immediately perked up. Haha.

It also claims that it contains exfoliating AHAs, orange waterjuice, shea butter, peppermint oil and fruitliquid fig. I know only like 2 ingredients so...

Another thing is that it's really huge. It's super heavy so, it's great for arm-lifting (?).
It looks very creamy and thick. I felt a little bit doubtful when I saw the inside of the tub.

  • Review:
-I guess it's quite moisturising for the skin. The texture however was pretty thick and it was a little bit too creamy for my liking, no offence. I love the scent the most and its moisturising property but that's just about it. The texture felt a little bit weird and strange my skin.

It's quite difficult to blend it, plus you need some pressure to really blend it all in. It does sort of absorb into the skin so it's good enough. Do not use this body cream with water because I've tried it once and hell, it was so hard to blend it all into my skin.
it's thick and heavy, i know.

I've had compliments on this product so I'm satisfied with that fact. My elbow isn't so dry anymore and my arms and legs feel moisturised and hydrated so I'm happy that my skin is back to being smooth and soft like it says on the tub.

Good thing about this product is that you can get all of the product out of the tub, but it's 100% not travel-friendly and as I said before, it's heavy so it's not exactly portable as well.

  • How to apply it onto the skin?
-I'm sure you guys know this.

  • Where can you purchase this product?
-MECCA Cosmetica, MECCA MAXIMA, Kit Cosmetics.

  • How much was it?
-$22.00AU.

Overall Comment:
I guess the scent is the reason why it's worth buying it. I had a little bit of doubt in my mind but I built a bridge and got over it (lol). It's really moisturising and hydrating for the skin, which makes it smooth and soft like I said before. It's an okay product, overall but I can say it's quite pricey for a body butter/cream. Maybe it's because of the label, I'm not sure. Maybe the ingredients in it are good? But the tub is huge so that all makes sense to me now. Haha.
