[REVIEW] NYX Butter Lipstick in 'Hot Tamale'

Hey guys! I am back with yet, another blog post on one of NYX's best selling product, their Butter Lipsticks!

According to reviews, they have said that the darker and brighter range colours of the Butter Lipsticks are really pigmented so I picked up just one colour from the collection because there was only one colour that I liked from the collection (to be very frank).
The best part about the packaging is the colour of the lipstick is the colour of the packaging.
So this is how it looks like when you open it. It's a very bright bloody-orange/coral lipstick. It's really pigmented and bright, especially when you apply it onto your lips.
See how pigmented it is? It's really impressive for a drugstore product.
So I tested it out on the lips:
This is how I look like with the lipstick on?
I think I can rock this as a casual look and yet, an elegant and classy look. Really brings out the eyes and also, makes my teeth slightly whiter than usual (like a red lipstick).

  • Review:
I really like the colour. It's truly pigmented and the colour pay-off is amazing. It's the exact same colour as the lip packaging. I've been looking for a colour like this and I finally found it.

It's also super moisturising, creamy and smooth. So easy to apply this lipstick as well. I used a lip brush to apply this on because I need to apply it precisely.

I also really like the packaging as well. Very simple, easy to open it.

  • How to apply it onto your lips?
-Just use it directly onto your lips or use a lip brush to get that precise look. It takes time and patience so please do it carefully.

  • Where can you purchase this product?
-Target (anywhere that does have Target), Ulta, Walmart, Sephora, etc.

  • How much was it?
-AU$12.95 (I bought it in Australia, but it's so much cheaper in the U.S)

Overall Comment:
If you're looking for a cheaper alternative to lipsticks, similar to high-end brands Yves Saint Laurent or M.A.C lipsticks, NYX Butter Lipstick is a good option. They are super pigmented, moisturising, smooth and creamy. The only con is that it transfers and does not last that long throughout the day.

Rating: 4.5/5
