2017 Beauty Favourites (Cosrx, The Ordinary, ColourPop, Klairs, Jouer, etc.)

Hi! I am back with another blogpost! I apologize for being MIA for months. 2017 flew by way too fast and I achieved and learnt so many things this year. This year was a really busy year for me.

Anyway, here are my favourites of this year. Most of them consist of skin care products as I have mentioned before, I limit myself to only buying 5 makeup products in 2017, which was not really a difficult challenge as I thought it would.

Skin Care

1. Cosrx Salicylic Acid Exfoliating Cleanser
I featured this in one of my posts (Summarized Skin Care Reviews Part II) earlier and I mentioned how excellent worked for me. This cleanser not only cleanses your face, it exfoliates and helps reduce acne breakouts. I could see a notable difference with my skin texture and also, the amount of pimples I get are much less than before. I highly recommend this for those who get frequent acne breakouts and need the occasional exfoliation.

2. Neogen Green Tea Foam Cleanser
Another cleanser that I loved in 2017 is the Neogen Green Tea Foam Cleanser. This was gifted to me by my bestie for my Christmas present in 2016 and boy, this product is so good. This cleanser is very gentle and feels really soft on the skin. After rinsing, I noticed my skin got smoother and softer. Moreover, this cleanser has green tea leaves, and green tea is known to be an anti-oxidant that calms the skin and has anti-aging properties. This cleanser is very calming and soothing on the skin, and does not leave the skin feeling squeaky clean. Plus, it smells so good.

3. The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10%
I tried the 5% version earlier this year and then later, I tried this one, the 10% version. I have to say, they are only a few cents different in price, so I highly recommend getting the 10% version over the 5% version because it works two times better than the 5% version and it's way more effective and stronger. If you're a beginner, try out the 5% version as it's lighter. This really exfoliates the skin well and it peels off all the unnecessary dry skin or dead skin on the face. Best part about this is that it works instantly, plus, it's affordable.

4. The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution
I also recently mentioned this product in one of my blogposts. I absolutely love this because it calmed all my acne breakouts and reduced the size and the amount of my blemishes and pimples. My face also got less redder. I recommend this product to those who also get frequent acne breakouts.

5. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
Do you need a product that can help minimize pores and reduce blackheads? Look no further because this product can achieve all that within a couple of uses. I noticed my pores became much smaller and my blackheads slowly faded (not completely but it is not as noticeable anymore) away after trying this out for a couple of times.

6. Sarining Bhuana Green Clay Mask
I bought this in Bali last month and tried this out when I had a really serious sunburn, and holy crap, this actually reduced the redness on my face. I was actually not expecting that because usually, clay masks help reduce pore sizes and blackheads, but this also calmed my face instantly within one use. It was a very huge difference and everyone noticed that. This can be very drying, but it easily comes off when I rinsed my face with water. I am really impressed with this product, however, it is not easily accessible because this is a local product I purchased from Canggu Shop.

7. Innisfree The Green Tea Seed Eye Cream
If you're looking for a reasonably priced eye cream that works wonders, check out this product! This eye cream contains green tea, which is an excellent antioxidant that helps to reduce puffy eyes and dark circles. This product is also really moisturizing and I definitely noticed that my eyes feel softer, smoother and more hydrated within a week or two.

8. Cosrx Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion (with Birch Sap)
One of the best moisturizers I've ever used. It really moisturizes the skin from within and does not leave the skin feeling greasy and oily. My skin also feels smooth upon using this product. My skin glows, but it is not oily. It also helps to maintain water on and under the skin and water is very essential for the skin so it's very hydrating.

9. Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA+++
Sun cream is really important for the skin as your skin needs UV protection and sun cream helps to protect your skin from sun rays and protects your skin from any damages that can be caused by the mighty sun. This product has SPF of 50 so this will really protect your skin from the sun rays, which is excellent. Moreover, this product is very moisturizing, but it also does not leave a greasy or oily film on the skin. This product beautifully absorbs into the skin as well. It also has aloe vera, so it has soothing and calming skin properties.

10. Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Mask Sheet
This is one of the best sheet masks I have ever used in my life, along with another sheet mask that I will be mentioning later. It is super moisturizing and hydrating for my skin, and I noticed a beautiful, soft glow on my face, but it was not like the oily and greasy kind of glow. It is much like the glow from within the skin. My skin felt smoother, softer and more supple and plump after using this for two nights. I swear by this sheet mask and will be continuing to purchase this over and over again.

11. Papa Recipe Bombee Mask Sheet
Another amazing mask sheet I want to talk about is this mask sheet. I also swear by this because of its effects. Super moisturizing, very hydrating (much like the other mask I mentioned), and the scent is really nice and fresh. It comes with a lot of essence, so you can either smear the essence over the mask, apply it after masking or apply the essence the next day (but make sure the mask is secured and locked in place so no air will be able to contaminate the essence). My skin feels extra soft and smooth after masking with this for a few times as well and leaves a healthy glow on my skin.

Makeup

1. MAC Prep + Prime Fix +
One of the most iconic makeup products from MAC is their setting spray. This setting spray makes a huge difference in my makeup routine. Earlier this year, I did my makeup once without the setting spray and the next day with the setting spray, and the results were very noticeable. I noticed that without this spray, my skin was very dry and my makeup was very cakey and flakey. However, the next day when I used this, my skin was so smooth, well-hydrated and clear. This also made my makeup last a lot longer and sets them in place, so it does not move around. This product is really a game changer.

2. Aritaum Full Cover Liquid Concealer in 01 Light Beige
This concealer has a matte finish with intense coverage. If you have dry skin, I suggest you stray away from this product because it didn't work out for my best friend who has dry skin. If you have oily to combination skin, this may work for you, like it did for me. This concealer covers everything. Dark circles, redness and spots. However, this can be quite difficult to blend into the skin, but it lasts for the whole day. However, because it has a matte finish and the consistency is thick, it creases quite badly. It still gives amazing coverage.

3. NYX HD Finishing Powder in 02 Banana
This was a very spontaneous purchase because I've never heard of this product but I bought it anyway because I really needed a pressed powder. This product actually performed better than I expected. It does not leave a cakey finish (which most powders do), it's not drying at all and feels very smooth and silky on the skin. This powder is perfect for those who have dry skin. However, the lasting power is not very long as I do occasionally touch up every now and then whenever I use this powder. Overall, the powder does its job well and doesn't feel heavy on the skin.

4. Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Bronzer with SPF15 in Ticket to Brazil
I bought this on Christmas day (which was only a few days ago) and this bronzer is pretty amazing. It gives you a really nice peachy, light bronze finish, which is perfect for me because I'm fair (even though I did tan a bit in Bali, Indonesia). It has a beautiful glow and shine (only on the cheekbones) and does not highlight any texture. It is not too warm and it doesn't appear too orange, which is a plus. I really love how easy it was to blend this bronzer into the skin as well. It's also really big, so it'll last for quite some time.

5. Too Cool For School Enlumineur
This is probably the best Korean highlighter I've ever used. Mainly because, it is has a beautiful, wet, metallic finish and the colour is absolutely stunning. It has a light champagne pink shade which is great for those who have fair to medium skin tone. It's not glittery either and it does not highlight texture and crease up. It doesn't last for very long, though.

6. ColourPop Creme Gel Liner in Mr. Bing
This was one of the few collaborations that ColourPop had with beauty guru, Kathleen Lights. First of all, Kathleen Light's collaborations with ColourPop are top notch and on point. All the colours she chose are really pretty as well. Anyway, it was love at first sight with this eyeliner. It's a very rich warm matte brown that is very flattering on the eyes and it is suitable for all skin colour. In addition to that, the formula of this eyeliner is really creamy, pigmented and draws a very smooth and clean, precise line. It does smudge a little and it is not waterproof, but it's very affordable. One of the best pencil liners I've ever used.

7. NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown
This is my ultimate favourite eyebrow pencil I've ever used. I'm not exaggerating. The thin pencil creates a beautiful hair-like line, which is perfect for those who want to achieve natural brows. The colour also matches my skin tone and hair really well. It also blends really nicely and it's really to shape and draw my brows with this eyebrow pencil. It also comes with a spoolie.

8. Jouer Cosmetics Lip Creme in Lychee
This is the first Jouer product I've ever purchased and I absolutely love the formula of this lipstick. It is a tie with Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipsticks in terms of formula. I found both of them to be very similar in terms of the formula. It's very soft, silky, not matte but appears matte, easy to apply, creamy, highly pigmented and super long-lasting. It has one of the best formulas for liquid lipsticks and I love it so much! The colour is also really pretty, it is a neutral pinky mauve which is great for every day wear. In addition, I prefer the doe foot applicator over Jeffree Star's because it's smaller and dantier, so it's easier to maneuver and gets into smaller areas very easily, a.k.a the oral commissure.

9. ColourPop Lippie Stix in Poppin
I bought this last year because I was tired of always wearing nude lipsticks and funny enough, I ended up loving this colour a lot! To me, it's a very unique colour because it appears reddish pink on camera but rasberry pinkish red in real life. The colour is super pigmented and pretty. Also, the formula is very creamy, easy to apply and doesn't feel drying or too matte. It's more of a satin than matte even though it's supposed to be matte. It's also long-lasting and affordable.

10. ColourPop Lippie Stix in Sure Thing (Creme)
This product was from their 2017 Valentine's Collection which was limited edition. I absolutely love this lippie stix because it's very wearable, great lipstick for everyday and it's super moisturizing. It feels exactly like a lip balm, because it is absolutely hydrating and moisturizing. My lips do not crack or bleed when I use this and it's really nice and lightweight on the lips. It's super comfortable and pigmented as well. Plus, it's affordable! However, it is not long-lasting and it is not on sale anymore.

11. Biore Makeup Remover Wipes
This is my go-to makeup remover wipes whenever I am really tired or just lazy to remove my makeup properly with a cleansing balm. It effective removes all of the makeup and does not sting my eyes as well. It's also very gentle and the price point is excellent!

Tools

1. BH Cosmetics Vegan Large Powder Brush V1
If you're looking for a really large powder brush, definitely consider buying this one because it's really, really big. I love it because it feels very soft and the bristles/hairs are not harsh and rough. Since it has a huge surface area, it's faster to buff it onto the skin and takes less time compared to using a smaller powder brush. It also picks up all my powders really well. Plus, it's vegan and the handle is really nice to hold.

2. Beauty Blender Makeup Sponge
This is also a real game changer for me and I definitely prefer this over Real Technique's makeup sponge. I usually apply this damp (soaked in water), so the water from the sponge transfers onto my skin and that helps to hydrate the skin. With this sponge, you can achieve a more natural finish (damp) and a full-coverage finish (dry). It's also very easy to squeeze and it works on all my foundations, concealers, powders and even other cream products like cream contours and highlights. It blends really well into my skin and the finish is usually not cakey or drying.

3. BH Cosmetics Vegan Blending Brush V5
Love, love, love this brush a lot. I use this for my crease and sometimes, for transition colours. This blends really well onto my lid and doesn't leave weird, streaky lines. Since it's not dense, it's less likely to mess up your eye look with this brush. The bristles are also very soft and feels very nice on the skin.

Hair

1. Morphosis Sublimis Oil Hair Shampoo
One of the few reasons why I like this shampoo is because of the smell. It's very fresh and pleasant. Also, this washed off most of the dandruff that were present on my scalp and it really cleans the hair properly. However, it is pricey.

2. Morphosis Sublimis Oil All Day Hair Emulsion
If you're looking for a product that moisturizes and hydrates the hair properly, this product really does the job. Besides the amazing scent (which is technically the same scent as the shampoo), it actually performs well. It leaves my hair feeling hydrated, smoother and softer.

3. Watsons Naturals by Watsons Argan Oil Hair Oil
I know a lot of people believe that hair oils will help prevent split ends, and it's actually just a myth. However, this product proved me wrong. I had quite a lot of split ends a couple of years ago until I used this product earlier this year. I had not trimmed or cut my hair for 13 months and I still do not have any split ends, and I believe it is because of this product (even though using hair oils to prevent split ends is a myth). It also nourished and moisturized my dry ends as well.

Nails

1. The Face Shop Trendy Nails in PK111
I've been looking for this kind of colour on a nail polish for a really long time, and I finally found it! It's a really pretty mauve, dark pinkish-brown shade with a cool undertone. It's a really trendy colour and it's gorgeous. It's also quite opaque, but it is recommended to apply two coats of this nail polish. It lasts for a week (with top coat and base coat), so you could say, it's not very long-lasting.

2. Winmax (by Daiso) Matte Finish Top Coat
Looking for a really cheap matte top coat? Well, this will probably work for you (sort of). This top coat is pretty good, for its price, at least. Two to three coats of this on top of your nail polish will do the trick. However, it doesn't last very long. It only lasted me for about a week and then it turns a little bit white and wears off. However, it is only $1, so I did not expect much. It still worked quite well though.

That is all for my 2017 Beauty Favourites! I hope you guys enjoyed my blogpost, and see you all again soon!

2016 Beauty Favourites | Part 2: Skin Care, Body Care, Lip Care & Hair Care

Hello guys! So sorry for the long await. I've been busy going to college as I just started two weeks ago and have been preparing it beforehand. Anyways, here's the second part of my 2016 Beauty Favourites.

Skin Care

1. Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam
I actually like how pleasant this cleansing foam is. It has mini little beads that also help to cleanse the skin and face properly. My face feels really clean and smooth after washing my face with this cleanser. It's also made of natural ingredients from Jeju Island in South Korea, so it's definitely safe to use on the skin and face. Plus, it's affordable so that's a pro.

2. Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask
I think this is an excellent clay mask, especially for those who have oily to combination skin. It removes excess sebum and oil from the skin and removes pores. It's not too drying and it does feel very smooth and gentle on the skin. It's not too harsh as well. The best part about it is that it's from Jeju Island in South Korea so it's natural and plus, it's affordable and effective. My skin has a bit of a difference when I use this and when I don't. It also has a slight brightening effect as well.

3. Clarins Day Screen Multi-Protection UV Plus Anti-Pollution SPF 50/PA++++

I absolutely love this sunblock because it has a really high SPF and that means it protects the skin even more. Anything over SPF50 or under SPF30, it will not protect the skin properly. Another plus is that it has a rosy glow finish, which gives off a youthful and slightly pink hue on the cheeks. It's quite hydrating but not shiny or anything like that. It's perfect for all skin types and the consistency/formula is excellent.

4. Skin Food Black Sugar Strawberry Mask Wash Off
I actually prefer this over the original Black Sugar Mask Wash Off, because the smell of the strawberries in this product is really fragrant and fresh, and I don't even like strawberries. It's very gentle on the skin, despite it being a scrub and exfoliant. It definitely removes the dead skin cells and brightens the skin. It's also super affordable and a little goes a long way on this product.

5. Tony Moly Wonder Honey Moisture Cream
I absolutely love this moisturizer, even though most say that this is a light moisturizer and it's mainly used for people with combination to oily skin. I have dry to normal skin right now but I still use this and it really moisturizes my skin to the max. As long as I pack the moisturizer more onto my face, it'll definitely be more effective. It smells really nice and it is very light on the skin, but moisturizes the skin completely. My skin immediately feels soft and supple after using this moisturizer.

6. LA'Derm Perfecting Purifying Control Aqua Serum
Most people won't know this brand because it doesn't promote its products a lot and they're quite difficult to find. Quite frankly, I've been using this serum for over 4 years, since I started my second year of middle school and now I'm in my first year of college (dedication right there). This is an amazing serum as it really clears up the pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, redheads, blemishes and bumps on the face/skin. It contains anti-bacterial properties and works quite similarly to Sunday Riley's Good Genes. It's super effective and definitely makes a difference after using this for a week.

7. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
This is a really good dupe to Bioderma's Micellar Water (as it costs a fortune just for a micellar water). It removes makeup really effectively and quickly. It's quite gentle, but it does sting the eye a little if you rub your eyes aggressively. It's super affordable and can be easily accessible to many stores worldwide. I just like how this comes in different sizes and does not irritate the skin.

8. Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack
As I've stated a while ago, I have dry to normal skin, an overnight sleeping pack is vital for me. It's a good substitute for the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask, especially when you're on a budget. It's super moisturizing and makes my skin feel super soft and supple. It also brightens the skin and gives off a natural and beautiful glow on the skin without it looking tacky and it doesn't feel sticky. My skin immediately soaks up the product and leaves a bit of moisture behind.

Body Care

9. Soap&Glory Scrub 'Em and Leave 'Em Body Buff
This is my first ever body exfoliant and I have to say, I do enjoy using this product. It comes in little beads that will help scrub off the dead skin cells on your body. It smells really pleasant and refreshing (has a floral scent, in case you're wondering). It definitely leaves your body feeling smoother and softer after using it for a few times.

10. Guardian Intense Hydration Hand and Body Moisturizer

This might be quite shocking to some Bruneians, Malaysians and Singaporeans but yes, I definitely enjoyed using this product in the year of 2016. It really moisturizes my body, especially my dry and flaky arms. Of course, if you have super dry skin, this is probably too light, but for a person with a bit of dry skin, it works well. The back of my arms are super dry, so I use this product every night and after using this for a month, it made my arms much softer and smoother. It also doesn't feel sticky and has a cooling sensation.

11. Nature Republic Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel
One of my favourite Nature Republic products ever. This particular products works for both face and body. It is mainly used for moisturizing the face and body and when we get sunburnt or skin allergies, this will cool and soothe down the skin. It definitely is very calming and relaxing whenever I apply this. Since it's in gel form, it doesn't feel sticky and creamy, it feels more hydrating and moisturizing. It's super refreshing and pleasant. Plus, it smells like cucumber + aloe vera.

12. The Face Shop Green Tea The Vert Daily Perfumed Hand Cream
The best hand cream I've ever used in my life. It's a gel type of hand cream, which is more hydrating and moisturizing and does not leave a weird sticky film. It also smells so good, like fresh green tea water or juice. It definitely makes my hand feel softer, more supple and smoother. Since it's quite small, this can be carried around easily and doesn't require a huge space for storage.

13. Innisfree Canola Honey Lip Balm in Smooth Care
This is by far the best lip balm I've ever used (I know I say that a lot but please believe me, guys). If you're looking for an affordable lip balm, this will be the one for you. It's made of honey and Innisfree is known for their natural ingredients in their products. It's super moisturizing and hydrating on the lips, and it does not have a smell or taste (which is a plus because I have another lip balm and it tastes like plastic vanilla). It's easy to carry around and lasts for a long time.

14. The Face Shop Mango Seed Lip Scrub
I swear, The Face Shop has been killing it lately with their products and I'm happy about that, obviously. Their lip scrub isn't like an actual scrub with sugar or beads or anything like that. It's more on the cream side. It definitely makes my lips feel softer and smoother after using this. The smell has a very lovely, strong mango smell and it tastes like mango, but after I remove the product from my lips, the taste is completely gone.

15. TRESemme Heat Defence Styling Spray
This is a really excellent heat styling spray for your hair. I assume most girls use their hair-dryers to dry their hair after washing their hair and some even use their hair-curlers or hair-straighteners. This will help protect the hair from the heat, because it'll really damage the hair and burn it if you don't use a heat protectant or styling spray. This one in particular is very easy to spray, it's very fine and can be used for styling as well, so it's a very versatile product.

2016 Beauty Favourites | Part 1: Make-Up

Hey everyone! Super sorry (again) for the MIA. I've been travelling a lot, had a lot of errands to run for over a week and Chinese New Year just came by, and oh, Happy Chinese New Year/Lunar New Year to all my Chinese readers!

Anyway, I've finally squeezed in some time to blog about my 2016 Beauty Favourites. Let's start with makeup.

Makeup

1. Etude House Face Blur SPF 33PA++ // Primer
This is a really top-notch primer that smoothens the skin, moisturises the skin, gives a smooth application for makeup, gives a bit of a sheen and glow to the skin and also, make the makeup lasts a long time for at least 10 hours. It comes with a pump which is a plus, and also is affordable and has an added SPF to protect the skin from the sun.

2. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation // Foundation
This foundation is one of the most popular high-end foundations on 2015 and it is raved by many beauty gurus. It has high and amazing coverage, very easy to blend and has a natural finish. It's also very long-lasting. It comes with a pump, which is another plus. It's not very drying but it does move around a little.

3. L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation // Foundation
This foundation is really out of this world, for me. I actually like this better than the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation (but I still love it nonetheless). It has high and amazing coverage, very easy to blend and spread around the face, very creamy and has a natural finish. It definitely lasts much longer than the Too Faced Foundation and the best part is, it doesn't crease as much and doesn't move around the face. It's not too drying or blotchy.

4. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer // Concealer
One of the best concealers I've ever used. It's really creamy so it's moisturising for the under-eyes, it covers the dark circles very well (because this concealer in shade Fair has a peach to salmon undertone), it blends like heaven and lasts a really good amount of time, which is impressive considering that this is very affordable.

5. The Face Shop Liquid Veil Concealer // Concealer
This concealer is excellent. It's super creamy and so easy to blend. It also comes with a doe-foot applicator, which is my favourite type of concealer. It has a good amount of coverage that covers pimples, blemishes, under-eyes and pimple scars quite well. It's also very affordable but unfortunately, it only comes in three shades.

6. Jeffree Star Skin Frost Highlighter in King Tut // Highlighter
Absolutely love this highlighter. It's such a beautiful gold highlighter that has amazing pigmentation, super easy to blend and it's huge. I personally thing I will never hit pan on this because it's almost as big as my face. This highlighter can literally blind anyone once they lay their eyes on you. It also lasts a really long time.

7. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Collection // Eyeshadow Palette
One of my favourite eyeshadow palettes of all time. I've never seen a YouTuber hate or disliked this product, because it's just that good. The colours are so gorgeous and pigmented, so easy to blend, has a variety of beautiful colours that can go from neutral to bright to night-out looks. The best part is, it is made from 100% cocoa powder and smells like chocolate.

8. BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo 18 Eyeshadow + Lipstick Palette // Eyeshadow and Lipstick Palette
I personally love the eyeshadows more than the lipsticks. I'm sure you all would probably know (or not) that I love me some liquid lipsticks and not so much on the creamier lipsticks. The eyeshadows are so excellent. They are so creamy, smooth, pigmented and absolutely stunning, it's crazy how I bought this palette for only $15 ($10USD). The pans are really big compared to many other eyeshadows in palettes, they're just so easy to blend and long-lasting. The lipsticks however were not as great as the eyeshadows, but it works well too. It's quite pigmented, creamy, moisturising, but you'll need a lip brush to apply the lipsticks.

9. Holika Holika Jewel Light Waterproof Pencil Liner in #16 Black Plum // Eyeliner
I absolutely love the colour of this pencil liner. It's a matte purple plum shade which is so gorgeous and stunning on the waterline or the eyelid. It glides on smoothly, super pigmented, very affordable and very waterproof. I've done a waterproof on these baby and it's very waterproof, it really doesn't smudge off that easily.

10. Etude House Play 101 Pencil in #38 // Eyeliner
This is also a really excellent eyeliner pencil. It's way more smoother compared to the Holika Holika Jewel-Light Waterproof Pencil Liner and glides on easily. It is also a retractable pencil so you don't really have to sharpen the edges or the tip of the eyeliner (it also comes with a mini and portable sharpener which is located at the back of the pencil). It's also a very pretty colour and comes with so many different shades you can never imagine (okay, maybe you can but... you know what I mean :D).

11. L'Oreal Waterproof Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara // Mascara
Amazing. It's one of the best mascaras I've ever tried in my life. It lengthens, curls and volumises (but it's also natural-looking). Not only that, it doesn't smudge, or clump and the best part of it, it's waterproof. Unfortunately, despite it's crazy amount of pros, it's pretty difficult to remove the mascara as it's super waterproof.

12. Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Celebrity Skin // Liquid Lipstick
Be prepared for many lipsticks being featured in this blogpost because... well, I bought over 10 lipsticks and been gifted about 5. Anyway, this lipstick is amazing. So amazing. The colour is a very pretty dark nude to brown shade. It doesn't have a yellow or pink undertone or anything, which I like. I just love a dark nude. Formula-wise, very impressed. It's very consistent, creamy, not drying or flaky and doesn't suck the life out of my lips. It's velvet-y and soft. The shape of the doe-foot applicator makes it easier to apply and fills in quickly because the doe-foot applicator is bigger than other doe-foot applicators from other liquid lipsticks from other brands. Best part about this is that even if you eat oily and greasy foods, the lipstick still stays on.

13. Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit in Candy K and Exposed
2016 was the year for Kylie Jenner as some lip kits were sold out every few minutes once they were released on the website. I have to be honest, this lip liner and liquid lipstick were really good. Candy K is a really pretty dusty mauve-y neutral pink while Exposed is a nude-orange, perfect for everyday-wear. The formula isn't the best, but they're decent. Smooth, creamy, pigmented and not too drying. I like the lip liner more than the liquid lipstick because it's not as drying. They're also very long-lasting and don't transfer. The lip liner is super pigmented and smooth and it glides on so nicely around the lips. The liquid lipstick is alright, but a little bit drying and might turn cracky, but it's not too bad. The colours are really pretty and gorgeous, and that's why I love this lipstick.

14. ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips in Calypso, November and Screenshot

2016 was definitely the year for ColourPop as well and their ultra satins are bomb. They're so pigmented, creamy, smooth and easy to apply. They were not matte, but they dry a little bit of a matte, but they still have that little sheen on the lips. They're not drying at all (unlike their ultra mattes). Calypso is a beautiful mid-tone terracotta pink. November is a gorgeous warm peachy coral pink. Screenshot is a stunning deepened peach. The colours are extremely gorgeous and ColourPop has a wide range of different colours with different tones in many different finishes like mattes, satins, metallics and glosses.

15. ColourPop Matte X Lippie in Cami and Chateau
The formula for the matte x lippies are absolutely amazing. They're smooth, soft, pigmented, glides on easily and definitely not drying at all. I know I describe all my lipsticks like that, but trust me when I say this, they're so hard not to pass. They're lightweight, doesn't transfer, easily removed by makeup removers and lasts for quite a while. It does fade off if you eat oily and greasy foods. It's so affordable and it's in a crayon form. Cami is a mauve-y neutral pink while Chateau is a deep blackened red wine colour.

16. 3 Concept Eyes Dangerous Matte Lip Color in #808 Spotted
I never realised how amazing this formula is. It's creamy, velvety, smooth and pigmented. It really stays on for the whole day and doesn't transfer at all. It's in this gorgeous blue-toned red which really makes my teeth look whiter and brighter instantly whenever I flash a smile.

17. 13rushes Flat Top Foundation Brush, Jumbo Shader Brush, Tapered Concealer Brush and Oval Brush
13rushes is a Singaporean brand that provides high quality brushes. Their bristles and hairs are so soft and smooth, it's really satisfying when you play around with it. They all dry really quickly. The flat top foundation brush is soft yet firm and blends so well. It doesn't leave streaky lines and has a beautiful and natural finish. The jumbo shader brush is perfect for blending eyeshadows altogether and great for contouring the nose. It's soft and fluffy, but picks up product very well. The tapered concealer brush is perfect for blending concealer under the eyes and on pimple spots, scars, blemishes and marks. It's soft and firm, and blends beautifully, without leaving streaky lines. The tapered powder brush is mainly used as a highlighting brush, for me. It's soft and fluffy, and picks up products very well and blends beautifully.
